Innovation behind Canon imageRUNNER Photocopiers
Canon Photocopiers imageRUNNER MFPs allow numerous office imaging arrangements, such as input, output, storage, and transmission of documents, to be performed by a single device. Canon has drawn on its experience and capabilities in developing electrophotographic technologies to integrate advanced network, document processing, and software and device technologies in a single unit. Canon’s network digital MFPs also aim to provide enhanced security technology to meet the daily tasks of modern businesses.
The Electro-photographic Printing Process
Laser printers, network MFPs, and multifunction production systems all employ the same printing principle.
First the photosensitive drum surface is negatively charged with a static charge.
Next the laser beams scan the photosensitive drum to form an image. Areas exposed to the laser beams lose their electrical charge.
Toner is brought in close proximity to the drum and affixes to non-charged areas.
The photosensitive drum is brought into contact with the paper and a positive charge is applied from behind, transferring the toner onto the paper.
Heat and pressure are applied to fix the toner to the paper.
Streamlining Two sided Scanning Technology
In the past, a document requiring both sides to be read would have had to been flipped over manually through the feeder for scanning. Canon over time has managed to localise the scanner units on the feeder side and the platen glass side.
The Canon imageRUNNER range has pioneered on this process to enable simultaneous scanning in a single pass to deliver an efficient workflow. This Photocopying technology has also helped reduce the risk of damage whilst scanning, reducing paper jams and minimising less operating noise.
A Canon imageRUNNER photocopier unit maximises in using a compact high-performance 4-colour sensor, white LEDs and a durable free-form mirror unique to Canon.
Canon Photocopiers are renowned for their advanced image technology as well colour quality. Offering state of the art facilities for all your document managing needs from a print standard office document to professional marketing collateral on a high volume scale.
